Business coaching session in a warm, modern office

Business Coaching that gets specific

You started your company to build something real. We help you figure out what is slowing it down, then fix it, week by week, until the numbers move.

What we actually do

Most business owners do not need more motivation. They need a clear plan, honest feedback, and someone to hold them to deadlines. Here is how we work with you.

Founder coaching (one-to-one)

Fortnightly 90-minute sessions over video or in person. We start with a financial health check of your business: revenue, margins, cash runway, customer acquisition cost. Then we pick the two or three levers that will have the biggest effect in the next quarter. Each session ends with three concrete actions and a deadline. If you miss one, I will ask why. That is the point.

Leadership team alignment

When a company hits 10 to 50 employees, the founder often discovers that their leadership team does not share the same priorities. I run a two-day workshop with your senior people. We map every department's goals, find the conflicts, and build a single 90-day plan everyone signs off on. Follow-up calls happen monthly for six months after the workshop.

Growth diagnostics

A four-week engagement for businesses stuck between £500k and £2m in annual revenue. I audit your pricing, sales pipeline, delivery process, and team structure. You get a written report with ranked recommendations and estimated financial impact for each one. Many clients use this as a starting point before committing to ongoing coaching.

Cash flow planning

Plenty of profitable businesses run out of cash. I build a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast with you, train you to update it weekly, and review it with you every month. This is not bookkeeping; your accountant handles that. This is about knowing exactly when money will be tight so you can act early rather than panic late.

Why work with us

I have run two businesses of my own. The first one failed after three years because I kept chasing revenue without watching margins. The second grew to 28 employees and a seven-figure turnover before I sold it in 2019. Both taught me things no textbook covers.

Since then I have coached over 60 business owners across Scotland and the wider UK. My clients range from solo consultants earning £80k a year to manufacturing firms with 40-person teams. The common thread: they all felt stuck, and they all needed someone outside their company to ask the uncomfortable questions.

I do not offer vague encouragement. If your pricing is wrong, I will say so. If you are avoiding a difficult conversation with a co-founder, we will practise it. Coaching works when it is honest, specific, and tied to measurable outcomes. That is the only kind I do.

Sessions happen over Zoom or at my office in Hills End, Scotland. I take on a maximum of twelve one-to-one clients at any time so I can give each one proper attention.
